What is "roleplaying" you ask? Roleplaying games are simply a type of game where players take on the roles of different characters. Similar to choose your own adventure books, roleplaying goes one step further. In a roleplaying game, or RPG, each person selects a persona to play, called a character. These characters are often referred to as Player Characters, or PCs. Other characters in a game, friends and adversaries alike are called NPCs, or Non-Player Characters. NPCs and the world they, and the characters, live in is brought to life by a GM, or Game Master. (In AD&D, they are called DMs, or Dungeon Masters.) The GM gives up playing a single character to run the rest of the game world.

Together, the GM and players bring life to these worlds. It's impossible to have fun without both a Game Master and players. GM's often put a lot of work into building worlds for their players to adventure in. Players bring individuality with them to games, and although the GMs often do a lot of preparation work, the players often breathe life into it.

Role playing games are played with pencil, paper and dice. Many accesories, such as graph, hex and lined paper, multi-colored dice, counters, figurines, and more can be used to enhance the game experience. All you really need though is a little imagination.

Within these pages, you will find years worth of work in many different genres. From fantasy to science fiction, I have created worlds, people, creatures and more. Some have lived only in my imagination, some have been shared with others. Many of the ideas that made it to paper appear here.

It is important to point out, that while I enjoy the creative process in creating fantastical things, I do not think the information on these pages is real. Neither should you.

Enjoy!
